Classic and Competition Car – July 2015

The July Issue of Classic and Competition Car is now available to download, which this month features reports from the BARC Harewood Vintage Hill Climb and the Brooklands Double Twelve Motorsport Festival, co-hosted by Brooklands Museum and the VSCC.
The Historic motorsport scene has lots of big events during the year and for the north of England they start with the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power. Coventry continues to be the centre of the motoring World with its new event MotoFest closing the Ring Road for high speed demonstration displays from all forms of motorsport, with plenty of tyre smoke to make things interesting, They also re-launched the cities Transport Museum after a £9 million update.
There are also reports from the HSCC meeting at Donington Park and from Crystal Palace in London we have Motorsport at the Palace. GT racing fans are in for a treat with British GT from Silverstone for the 3-Hour Race, plus GT Cup from Rockingham and Silverstone and to round off the GT Race Meetings we have the International GT Open from Silverstone.
Rally fans have the Severn Valley Stages and also the new Historic Marathon Rally Show at Gaydon. With more spectacular photos, we enter the realm of Drag racing with a brief description and a couple of events from Shakespeare County Raceway near Stratford upon Avon. Finally we have the Best of British Hill Climb action from Shelsley Walsh. Plus all our usual news and features.
