Driving Tests are beginner-friendly fun where competitors navigate a course between markers as quickly as possible, with penalties for hitting markers or taking the wrong route. The winner has the fastest time with the fewest penalties. Tests include manoeuvres like garage parking and figures-of-eight, and events usually have about twelve Tests. AutoSOLOs are similar but without reversing.

What You Need:

From 16 years old for Driving Tests, or 14 years old for an AutoSOLO, in a saloon car with a maximum capacity, with an experienced passenger

RS Clubman Licence (online application via Motorsport UK)

Buff Form (online application via VSCC)

What Your Car Needs:

Road Legal

Fire Extinguisher (2kg Powder or 2.4L Foam)

Marked ignition off

Secured Battery

Throttle Return Spring x2
