Trial Competition Guide
In Trials, competitors try to
climb off road hills called 'Sections' without stopping or hitting markers.
They get scored on how far they get up each section, and the highest combined
score over the day/weekend wins. Cars are classified by wheelbase and modifications,
and drivers have passengers, known as 'Bouncers,' to help with grip.
What You Need:
- From 14 years old (with an
experienced passenger, with a full licence to drive between sections)
- RS Clubman Licence (online
application via Motorsport UK)
- A friend(s) to bounce - N.B
bouncers must also have RS Clubman Licence)
- Buff Form (online application via
VSCC)
What Your Car Needs:
- Road Legal
- Fire Extinguisher (2kg Powder or
1.75L Foam)
- Spill Kit
- Top dead centre on steering wheel
- Marked ignition off
- Marked towing eye
- Secured Battery
- Throttle Return Spring x2
