Saturday 2 September

The VSCC is running an Incident Training course, suitable for motorsport Marshals from all disciplines on Saturday 2 September at Whitwick Scout Hut, Leicester Road, Whitwick, Coalville, LE67 5GN. 

Course director, Alan Page, has assembled a team of experienced trainers and has devised an interesting, useful and exciting day for all participants.

The course will be partly indoors (theory sessions) and partly outdoors with practical sessions providing real ‘hands-on’ experience. The course content includes:

          • Marshals’ Safety

          • Incident Handling

          • First Aid for First Person on the Scene

          • Practical Fire Training

          • Tackling Scenarios

The practical training will include using fire extinguishers and looking at a number of actual incidents using an old trials car to replicate what happened.

Thanks to a BMSTT grant the course will be free of charge to all participants. Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.
