I am pleased to announce that Simon Blakeney-Edwards has been elected President of the Club.  Simon will bring a huge wealth of experience of the Club to the role, having been an active member for many years.

In addition to his competitive achievements across all disciplines, he has devoted considerable energy to encouraging the next generation of members to become involved.  He comes from a family steeped in the fabric of the VSCC and runs a very successful fettling business.  We should therefore all have confidence in his ability to continue to steer the ship in the right direction.

I will begin the process of handing over the reins to him immediately to ensure a smooth transition.  I urge you all to give him your full support, and wish him every success in the role.
