Lakeland Trial Important Update
David Rushton took over as Clerk of the Course of the Lakeland Trial in 2019, carrying on the family involvement that goes back to the founding of the trial.
With the Forestry Commission confirming that events in the Forest are cancelled until April 2021, David used his local contacts to source some new hills, with great success.
However the new spike of Covid 19 has led to a number of proposed sections being lost, this would have lead the trial to be very short on hills. With time not on our side it regretfully has been decided that the Lakeland Trial is cancelled for 2020.
We would like to thank David and all the local organising team for their time and perseverance and we fully support the decision that has been made.
