Tuesday 15 January 2019
The VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD is an award inspired by the Competition Department and Marshals’ Sub Committee in which fellow volunteers vote for their Volunteer of the Year from a nominated shortlist – which included:

Vicki Royston George Shetliffe Kim Wasteney
This year’s winner has been a VSCC member since 1984, making 2019 their 35th Anniversary with the Club. They have been an active marshal and organiser of events throughout the duration of their membership. They have become a stalwart of the VSCC Trialling community and an integral part of the local organising teams for both the Herefordshire and Welsh Trials. No job has ever been too big or too small for them to undertake and always with a cheery smile.
This year’s Volunteer of the Year is GEORGE SHETLIFFE.
George said that he had found a letter from the Club the other day, which was from 1996 that asked if he would be prepared to be part of the local organising team for the Welsh for a couple of years. 22 years later both George and the Welsh Trial are going strong.
Congratulations to George.
