Mallory Highlights to Enjoy This Weekend
Wednesday 08 August 2018
This Saturday we will be returning to Mallory Park for the penultimate Round of this year's Formula Vintage series.
We've got some great track action in store for spectators, and we've put together a list of some of our unmissable highlights to look forward to this weekend.
The Herbert Austin Challenge
Who doesn't hold a soft spot for the nostaliga-inducing Austin 7s? This great addition to the Race programme will see the VSCC and the 750MC take to the track in a 10-lap Handicap Race battle for the best Austin 7 driver (and Club!).
The Edwardian Handicap Race
This world-renowned Race draws spectators and competitors from around the globe to watch and compete in this inspiring demonstration of Edwardian motorsport. This grid will showcase some fantastic Edwardian machinery including the Race Meeting's Star Car and oldest machine of the day, the 1909 De Dietrich 130 HP Course.
The U30s Handicap Race
For the first time ever, the VSCC will be hosting an U30s Handicap Race which promises to showcase some of the Club's young talent on the track. The ever-popular Handicap Race format has drawn a fantastic grid size and a variety of car marqes, making exciting viewing for spectators.
Advance ticket sales are now closed but tickets are available on the gate at £15 for adults, with U16s going free.
See below for the Race Day timetable. Please note that all timings are approximate and are subject to change.
