A Worthy Cause: The MAAC at Prescott
Wednesday 01 August 2018
The Vintage Sports-Car Club's official charity, the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, will be in attendance at Prescott this weekend with their fantastic decomissioned Helicopter Pod in tow on Saturday.
Children and grown-ups can experience what it's like to take off in a life-saving MAAC helicopter and learn about the fantastic work that the charity does.
Midlands Air Ambulance is the charity responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances serving the communities of six counties: Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. This constitutes the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK.
The charity now responds to an average of 2,000 missions each year (approximately six per day). Each year it costs in excess of £7 million just to keep the three charity helicopters operational. The charity receives no funding from the government or National Lottery so relies entirely on the support and generosity of local people and businesses.
The MAAC will be onsite at Prescott on Saturday and Sunday - why not make a donation to this fantastic cause?
