Suffolk Tour
12 May 2024
Whatfield, three miles North of Hadleigh
I must go down to
the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a vintage car and a wheel to
steer her by.
(With apologies to John Masefield)
This year we shall be exploring yet another
beautiful area of Suffolk. As suggested in the words above you will deduce that
we shall be heading for the water.
The tour will start and end at Whatfield Village
Hall (IP7
6QU) and then progress via Hadleigh towards Constable Country and the Dedham
Vale area of outstanding natural beauty. Beyond that the tour will move on to
the Shotley Peninsula where amazing views can be enjoyed of the Haven Ports of
Felixstowe and Harwich. Afterwards the tour will return to Whatfield via Alton
Water enjoying yet more of this wonderful county.
Refreshments will be provided at the start and
finish of the tour and participants are advised to bring a picnic lunch.
The Suffolk Tour is a very popular annual event
and, with limited numbers, early booking is recommended.
