CAR PARKING AND CAMPING ARRANGEMENTS
Overview. For this event car parking will be available onsite in the Orchard and Ettore’s Field with overflow parking in Mr Marsh’s field. Limited camping will be available onsite in a reserved area in the Orchard and will cost £15 for Friday night and will be free for Marshals. There is no camping available on Saturday night. Camping tickets must be purchased in advance and are available to buy through the Club Shop or by phone. Marshals should contact the Competition Department to request their camping tickets.
Pre-war or Modern? The decision is entirely yours, but the Club actively supports the formation of a Pre-war car park to the front of the Orchard. Accordingly, the front of the Orchard will be reserved for Pre-War cars with moderns filling in the space behind.
The Orchard. The front of the Orchard will be reserved for Pre-war cars with modern cars filling up from the rear. After 11.30am any spare capacity in the Orchard may be filled with modern cars at the discretion of the Organisers. There will be an area reserved in the Orchard for Blue Badge Holders. Our hope is to create the unique atmosphere and added spectacle of a Pre-war cars parked on-site. Please note that the Orchard fills up very quickly and once full parking will move to the overflow car park. Please follow the instructions of the gate staff if you are directed to the main car park once the Orchard is full. Please do not park on the verges of the public road as this will present an obstruction and hinder access. It will help traffic flow if you approach the Orchard from the east (Greet, Gretton).
Ettore's Field. Ettore’s will be reserved until full for VSCC Members. Some of the slopes in Ettore’s are steep so please follow the instructions of the parking Marshals, particularly if it is wet. Ettore’s offers good views over the hill climb course and is close to the paddock and site services. It will help traffic flow if you approach from the east (Greet, Gretton). Wristbands must be worn and visible and will be checked on arrival so please put them on before you arrive. Once full, and this may be very early on if wet, cars will be directed to either the Orchard or the overflow Car Park.
Overflow Car Park. The entrance to the Overflow Car Park (Mr Marsh’s field) is slightly to the west of the hill climb. As you enter you will be parked you will need to cross the road to the entrance of the BOC estate where you will be asked to show your wristband. Please approach from the west for the main car park. Once the Orchard and Ettore’s are full, all cars will be directed to the overflow car park.
Disabled Parking. Broadly speaking, hill climb venues are not good for the disabled or the infirm and Prescott is no exception. Blue Badge Holders will find an area reserved in the Orchard, near the entrance. Once full the only other option will be the Overflow Car Park as Ettore’s is unsuitable due to the terrain.
Camping. In order to maintain good relations with local residents the campsite rules must be observed at all times. These will be shown on your camping ticket. Please note that antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated and there will be security staff onsite to ensure your camping experience is a pleasant one.
If you wish to camp then there will be limited camping available for Competitors and Marshals in a reserved area towards the back of the Orchard.
If the ground is wet then camper vans maybe relocated to the gravel area behind the Clubhouse. Camping tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available on the day. Regular checks will be made to ensure that a camping ticket has been purchased and displayed and the campsite rules are being observed. Marshals can request a free camping ticket in advance from the Competition Department.
Please note that the campsite will not open until 4pm on Friday.
There will be no camping available on Saturday night and the site must be vacated by no later than 9pm.
Under 16s are free.
