VSCC Club Day
19 Jul 2015
Oulton Park, nr Tarporley, Cheshire
Following a 4-year absence, the Vintage Sports-Car Club is delighted to make a highly-anticipated return to the wonderful rolling parkland of Oulton Park over the weekend of 18/19 July.
The Club has enjoyed a long and celebrated history at the venue, dating back to the acclaimed events of the 1960s and, in more recent years, cultivated a strong working relationship with current owners, MotorSport Vision and their stable of first-class circuits, including annual events at Cadwell Park and Snetterton. With the support of Jonathan Palmer and his MSV team, we are excited to return to Oulton this summer and bring Pre-war motorsport back to the passionate enthusiasts of the North-West.
The Saturday will see the Club bring its ever-popular racing programme of Pre-war and Historic Racing and Sports-Cars to the Cheshire venue, in the form of our illustrious Hawthorn Memorial Trophies (CLICK HERE for more information).
Sunday will see the VSCC ‘open their doors’ to Members and Non-Members alike, as we host a relaxed ‘Garden Party’ day of family entertainment. Whilst restrictions at the circuit mean there will be no ‘racing’, there will be plenty of activities to enjoy both on and off-track. Vintage Bus Rides will take place throughout the day, giving spectators a chance to experience a guided tour of the famous circuit whilst the traditional Concours event will also take place including Parade laps, with dozens of local Car Clubs expected to be on display. The Veteran Cycle Club are also anticipated to attend, with all encouraged to bring their bicycles to take part in fun ‘races’ for all ages on track.
We also look forward to introducing some of the Club’s other Pre-war motorsport activities, with both an AutoSolo event and off-road Trials demonstrations taking place on site, whilst the well-populated Trade Village, Autojumble, Fairground Attractions, Treasure Hunt, Vintage Air Display, Charity stalls and much more will ensure a fun-filled weekend for the whole family.
