Brooklands Double Twelve Concours

BROOKLANDS DOUBLE TWELVE MOTOR SPORT FESTIVAL 2014
This is a full weekend of motor sport fun incorporating the Double Twelve Speed Trials, the Double Twelve Driving Tests and the Double Twelve Concours. There are different classes and awards for each event but competitors are encouraged to enter two of the three events on offer and this entitles them to be considered for awards in the overall Double Twelve Awards. Entry fees for a second event are just £15 so why not sign up for a weekend of fun. Both the Driving Tests and Concours have classes for non-VSCC cars and there are many car clubs mounting displays as well as other attractions such as ‘Test Hill Challenge’, Stunt Drive demonstrations and so on. If marshalling is more your cup of tea, then please contact the Competition Department and join us on this major public event. If you simply want to come and watch the fun then there is plenty for spectators to see all weekend. The outline timetable for the weekend is as follows:

There will be a 1950s themed band (Conrad and the Atomiks) and dance in the evening, Complete with a Jive Dance lesson early evening. The Clubhouse Members’ Bar will be open with food and drink available to buy.
Sunday
The Double Twelve Driving Tests
The Double Twelve Concours (only for those cars also competing on Saturday
Car Club Displays and other attractions
SPECTATOR INFORMATION – Advance ticket prices for 2014 are: Adults – £13; Children (aged 5-16 inc.) – £5; Family (2 adults and up to 3 children) – £32; Under 5s free
Ticket prices on the day: Adults – £15; Children (aged 5-16 inc.) – £6; Family (2 adults and up to 3 children) – £37; Under 5s free
THE DOUBLE TWELVE CONCOURS (SATURDAY/SUNDAY)
This is a traditional Concours d’Elegance which will be judged primarily on the Saturday except for those entrants also running in the Speed Trial on Saturday who may enter and have their cars judged on Sunday. Classes are not strictly VSCC and will include a number of Brooklands guest classes.
The Double Twelve Concours event will consist of 12 classes as follows:
Class A 50 Years of the Ford Mustang
Class B Minis and Mini Mokes
Class C ‘The Grand Tour’ Pre-war (touring cars from 1918 – 1939)
Class D ‘The Grand Tour’ Post-war (touring cars from 1945 – 1965)
Class E VW Beetles vs Citroen 2CVs
Class F 100 Years of Fords in Black (Model Ts and more)
Class G Austin and Morris 1800s (Morris and Austins 1964-1975)
Class H The Great War Remembered (Veteran and Edwardian Cars to 1918)
Class J Historic Brooklands Vintage Sports-Cars (Cars with actual Brooklands competition history)
Class K Historic Brooklands Post-Vintage Thorougbred Cars (Cars with actual Brooklands competition history)
Class L Spirit of Brooklands – 80 Years of the VSCC (Pre-war Cars of the Brooklands era without specific Brooklands history)
Class M Spirit of Brooklands – Post-war (Cars that might have raced at Brooklands 1945 – 1975)
