Prescott Speed Hill Climb
03 Aug 2013 - 04 Aug 2013
Nr Gotherington, Gloucestershire, GL52 9RD
The Vintage Sports-Car Club has been organising the Vintage Hill Climb at Prescott since 1938 and it has grown to become one of the largest hill climb events in Europe. Without doubt, the event is one of the highlights of the VSCC year with over 250 Pre-war cars competing in thrilling uphill racing over the weekend of 3-4 August, and approximately 8,000 visitors expected over the weekend.
Paddock entry is free of charge to all visitors to the venue, allowing spectators up close access to our car and the wonderful experience of the sights and sounds of a truly Pre-war Paddock.
Sunday lunchtime will see a wonderful lunchtime parade of Pre-war Aston Martins to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the marque.
Alongside the action on the hill and in the paddock, we also have a extensive trade village featuring everything from autojumblers and motoring book sellers to designer handbag retailers.
For our younger visitors we have a bouncy castle, face painting and a sweet stall, as well as an early evening childrens cinema featuring classic car based cartoons such as Wacky Races and Gumdrop.
The newly renovated Prescott Clubhouse will be open all weekend and provide the social hub of activity, with Saturday evening entertainment and wonderful hot and cold meals available all day on both Saturday and Sunday.
