Hertfordshire Tour
08 Jul 2017
Barkway Village,Near Royston, Herts SG88EB

Starting just 35 miles due north of Charing Cross, the tour takes you down our numerous leafy lanes through old villages where thatched roofs, flint churches and half-timbered buildings abound., and in an area close to London and easily accessed from A1(M) and M11.
We start at a listed farmhouse in a conservation area and almost all of the route is 'yellow' roads. We have optional stop-offs at vintage establishments, major historic buildings and non-oily places of interest.
The route totals 85 miles but there are short-cuts if you wish to dally at a stop-off. We pass through three OS maps but a single bespoke sheet has been created and will be issued along with the route book.
The route will include some great Vintage driving in the North Hertfordshire countryside with fine views of the rolling Northern Chilterns, and we also visit parts of both Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire which are flatter! There is a choice of several places for lunch, or you can select one of the village greens for a picnic. All are marked are on the route.
